Circulating Note, China, Ming dynasty, Hongwu reign (1368-1398), Yi Guan, with ten strings of cash coins on the top center, legends from Hu Bu (Minister of Revenue) on the bottom center dictating the punishment for counterfeiting and reward for informants, encircled by dragon borders, two red seals to the front and one to the back, on dark gray mulberry paper, (very good condition, minor loss to the u. l. border, faded), framed and glazed, 13 1/8 x 8 5/8 in.
