Charles Frederick Lowcock (British, 1878-1922) In Their World Signed "C. F. Lowcock" l.l., inscribed "Sher 189 Pair" on the reverse. Oil on prepared panel (probably Winsor & Newton), 20 x 30 in. (50.8 x 76.2 cm), in a Vandeuren frame. Condition: Retouch, very minor craquelure. Retouch to areas along frame liner in all four quadrants; retouch to l.l. quadrant around (and not on) area of signature; largest area of retouch to l.r. quadrant over a restored crack measuring approx. 3 x 2 in. at extreme height and width; restored crack has been stabilized by a wooden splint; no additional condition issues to report.
