Charles Frederick Lowcock (British, 1878-1922) What Price Beauty? Signed "C F Lowcock" l.l., with a label from Winsor & Newton Ltd. affixed to the reverse, inscribed "Sher 189 Pair" on the reverse. Oil on prepared panel, 19 3/4 x 30 1/8 in. (50.2 x 76.5 cm), in a Vandeuren frame. Condition: Retouch, restored crack to panel at right, very minor craquelure. Retouch to areas along frame liner in all four quadrants, with the largest area of retouch to the sky in the u.r. quadrant spanning approximately 17 x 1 1/4 in.
