Sterling Silver Singing Bird Automaton, repousse case marked Sterling on the bottom with cherubs holding musical instruments and birds all against a backdrop of decorative scrollwork, once activated, the lid raises and a bird with green, red, and white plumage emerges from the pierced stage, looks right and left, and moves wings, tail, and beak while emitting a spirited birdsong, ht. 1 1/4, wd. 3 3/4, dp. 2 1/4 in. excellent condition with vigorous movement of the bird and song, bird bounces up and down, feathers a bit ruffled, but intact and colorful.
