United States Naval Academy Midshipman's Blue Service Dress Uniform, c. 1925, the double-breasted blazer with six gold-tone eagle buttons, three embroidered gold braid stripes to each sleeve, and embroidered anchors to the lapels, accompanied by black service dress pants and a metal case enclosing a bicorn hat and elaborate gold braided epaulets.. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College.
