Saturday Evening Girls Pottery Serving Bowl Handmade and decorated pottery Decorated for Celia Goodman, an SEG decorator, Boston, Massachusetts, 1920 Two shades of blue accented by a black horizontal line and decorated with a tree and house medallion in green, white, blue, and brown glazes in the center of the bowl, ht. 3, dia. 6 1/2 in. Provenance: Celia Goodman's wedding dishes, descended in the family. Note: It was the custom that the girls decorated for each other as a wedding gift. SEG decorator Sarah Galner's wedding service is part of the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts.
