Oil on masonite painting depicting a male monk or religious figure at full length wearing long brown robe with cross/crucifix form necklace walking in calm solitude in a forest clearing with streams of majestic light overhead. Signed in Cyrillic lower left. Accompanied with copy of advertising postcard for Quast Galleries, Taos, New Mexico exhibition "Valentine Okorokov: Return to Russia Through Romance and Realism" in 1996 with an image of this lot on the front. Framed 39.5 inches x 30.5 inches. Unframed 28 inches x 19 inches. Provenance: Quast Galleries, Taos, New Mexico whereby purchased by Mr. Thomas V. and Mrs. Marie B. Patton, Atlanta, Georgia.
