Charcoal drawing of Peter's face drawn from a detail view of El Greco's painting of Saint Peter and Paul currently housed in the National Art Museum of Catalonia. Drawing depicting a bust view of St. Peter with a long beard and his head slightly turned to the side and eyes averted. Work pencil signed in Cyrillic lower left and with additional inscription and date in Cyrillic lower right. Verso with Quast Galleries, Taos, New Mexico label with handwritten details on painting. Accompanied with copy of Quast Galleries, Taos, New Mexico invoice to Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Marie Patton for the charcoal drawing in July of 1996. Framed 25.5 inches x 21.5 inches.
