Boston: James R. Osgood, 1873. 8vo, original pictorial maroon cloth, stamped in black and gilt with flying balloon vignette on the front cover. Second American edition, more desirable than the first given the addition of 48 heliotype illustrations (on 12 plates) and tissue guards. Plate at p. 172 with some wear to edge, and minor marginal browning to some plates; wear to spine ends and corners; some rubbing to gilt; hinges starting; otherwise fine.
