A cream silk crepe bodice with elaborate silver tone beading, sequins and mirrored embellishment. The tailored bodice has padded shoulders, a peplum, and silk chiffon lining. The piece was purchased at a Hollywood consignment boutique that received many items from stars and the studios. This piece was attributed by the shop owner as being consigned by the secretary of Claudette Colbert, who received it as a gift from Colbert. It is believed to be designed by Travis Banton.
