An embellished party dress worn by Barbara Stanwyck in her Academy Award nominated role as Leona Stevenson in Sorry , Wrong Number (Paramount, 1948). The dress has a solidly beaded bodice with bugle beads in a herringbone pattern and lines of silver tone cocoon beads and a black satin skirt. A Paramount label reads "Barbara Stanwyck," and a Paramount stamp is present to the interior. Costume design by Edith Head. Accompanied by a copy of the film and the original lot tag. Previously exhibited: The Valley Hunt Club for the book launch of Edith Head : The Fifty Year Career of Hollywood's Greatest Costume Designer , 2010, and an AFI exhibit at Disney World, Florida.
