A black wool tuxedo jacket with black lining worn by Burt Lancaster in the motion picture Sorry, Wrong Number , (Hall Wallis Productions/Paramount Pictures, 1948). In this film, Lancaster plays Henry Stevenson, whose bedridden wife overhears the telephone conversation accounting for the title of the film. The label on the coat reads "Western Costume Co./No. 2538-1/Name Burt Lancaster/Chest 43 1/2/Sleeve #7." There is also handwritten text inside one sleeve, "4 or T/23/Western Costume Co./1930's."
