A sapphire blue velvet Victorian gown worn by Madeleine Carroll in The Fan (20th Century, 1949). The gown has a boned and corseted bodice with a sweetheart neckline and a trained skirt. A bias label inscribed "1 18 1 0939 549-23 Madeleine Carroll" and a Fox cleaning tag are present. Some post production alteration. Costume design by René Hubert and Charles Le Maire.
