A group of poster printing plates and poster proofs from two Family Dog posters advertising appearances of the band 13th Floor Elevators, FD-24 and FD-28. FD-24, also called the "Tree House" poster, was designed by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse. It advertised 13th Floor Elevators' first concert in San Francisco, where the band played with the Sir Douglas Quintet. Present is one double-sided printing plate, one additional printing plate, and one final uncut poster. FD-28, also referred to as the "Zebra Man" poster, was also designed by Mouse and Kelley for a 1966 appearance by 13th Floor Elevators with Quicksilver Messenger Service. There are two printing plates for this poster and two uncut printer's proofs of the poster. LITERATURE The Art of Rock by Paul D. Grushkin (New York: Abbeville Press, 1987), page 97 Largest, 27 1/2 by 30 inches Categories:
