Four telegrams between Cole Porter and Louis Schurr and two additional telegrams including a sympathy telegram to Shurr’s sister Gertrude, accompanied by the personal address book of Louis Shurr. Shurr was known as The Doctor for his ability to “cure” an ailing show. He began working with Cole Porter in 1927. Shurr was a highly successful theatrical and Hollywood press agent who represented Bob Hope, Cole Porter, Lila Leeds, Bert Lahr, and many others. Categories:
