The first, the WWII Victory Medal, which reads on front, “World War II,” on verso, “Freedom from fear and want freedom of speech and religion United States of America 1941–1945. ” The World War II Victory Medal was awarded by Act of Congress July 6, 1945, to all members of the United States Armed Forces who served at least one day active Federal service between December 7, 1941, and December 31, 1946. It is unclear how Miller was awarded the medal. The second, a Hollywood at War medal, reads, “Hollywood at War 1941–1945,” on verso, “A Grateful Nation Remembers 1941–1945 World War Two 1991–1995.” Other award recipients include Ralph Edwards, Estelle Getty, Mr. Blackwell, and John Raitt.
