A Hoverboard from Back to the Future Part II (Universal, 1989). These futuristic skateboards supposedly worked on MagLev technology supplied by the magnetic plates on the bottom, allowing the rider to float over the ground. In reality, when flying, these boards were suspended from wires. This Hoverboard, made for the character Data played by Ricky Dean Logan, is made of solid wood with flaming circuit board decals on the front and back and wood and plastic hoverpad assembly on the bottom. The top has Velcro panels incorporated into the flame design as well as a round panel with a nylon foot strap attached to a ball bearing turntable. The actors had Velcro attached to the bottom of their shoes, which would adhere to the Hoverboard. Categories:
