A boxing trophy in the shape of a boxing ring presented to Muhammad Ali in the United Kingdom during 1979. The trophy was presented to Ali to commemorate his retirement from boxing. Ali retired in 1979 as heavyweight champion, and embarked on an exhibition tour of the UK during June and July of that year. This trophy, which was presented at the beginning of the tour, on a black lacquer base with an engraved plate mounted to the ring mat that is inscribed "Presented by THE LADBROKE GROUP to MUHAMMAD ALI/ The Greatest of Them All/ on the occasion of/ His Last Ring Appearance/ in The United Kingdom/ at Birmingham/ on Thursday June 7th, 1979.” Ali did come out of retirement for two more fights in 1980 before retiring from boxing permanently.
