A nineteenth century chalice presented to Cecil B. DeMille. With scrollwork and applied masks on the base, and applied figures of the Apostles on the cup. The chalice was presented to DeMille by Father Daniel A. Lord, a Jesuit priest and founding member of the Legion of Decency, which was responsible for classifying motion picture codes.
