Young/Maker/Philadelphia.," with opposing spirit levels and verniers to one minute of arc, mounted to a four-screw adjustable leveling base, ht. 12 in. Note: Few of these instruments are known; the model is listed in the 1911 Young & Sons catalog. Provenance: Robert Miller Collection. Estimate $700-900 tubes are not original and they are lacking optics. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
