Rare W. J. Young Railroad Goniometer, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, two independently rotating 9-in. scopes with fine focusing, 4 1/4-in. engraved slivered dial reading "W.J. Young/Maker Philadelphia." with five-point star representing north, two verniers to one minute of arc, outer locking plate knob, mounted to a later four-screw leveling base, ht. 11 in.
