U. S. Model 1850 NCO Sword Identified to Sergeant Benjamin Welsh, Company K, 55th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, c. 1861, brass hilt with "B.W. 55th O.V." engraved on one side of the knuckle bow, and "O.S. C.K" on the other, blade has light remnants of an Ames marking on the ricasso and "1861" on the other side, blade lg. 31 3/4 in. Estimate $200-300 Blade has some pitting but it is in overall good condition. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
