James Bassnett Rope-turned Mahogany Marine Barometer, Liverpool, c. 1840, brass finial atop the carved hood, interior scales marked as above, carved and turned midsection with thermometer, brass cistern, and original gimbal and arm, ht. 38 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Mercury tube is complete but mercury has been removed. Vernier is in working order, cistern is complete. old finish with scratches/scuffs.
