Heinrich Aldegrever (German, 1502-c. 1561) Adam and Eve with Christ. Signed and dated "1540/AG" within the plate u.l. Engraving on paper, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 in. (8.8 x 6.3 cm), framed. Condition: Trimmed to the edges of the plate, staining, slight curling to the paper, not examined out of frame. Estimate $600-800 Although the frame was not opened during cataloging, it appears that the engraving is affixed to the back mat only at the top edge of the reverse.
