Engraving on laid paper, image size 6 7/8 x 4 7/8 in. (17.5 x 12.4 cm), framed. Condition: Trimmed just outside of the border (missing the blank space beneath the image), tear to left edge, fox mark u.c. Provenance: Ex-collection of Arkady Nicolayevitch Alferoff (Russian/German, 1811-1872) per collector's stamp (Lugt, 1727); through to a Massachusetts collecting institution; to Skinner, Inc., Sale 2581B, Lot 53, February 3, 2012; through to the estate of Robert Wynne, Massachusetts. Estimate $600-800 The tear is a short ragged 1/4 in. tear within the drapery. The sheet is 7 x 4 15/16 in. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
