Jan Pietersz Saenredam (Dutch, 1565-1607), After Hendrik Goltzius (Dutch, 1558-1617) Minerva Leaning on Her Shield . Identified in the plate, John Witt Randall Collection and Fogg Art Museum duplicate stamps on the reverse. Engraving on laid paper with armorial watermark, plate size 13 1/2 x 10 in. (34.2 x 25.5 cm), hinged to backing mat, unframed. Condition: Margins trimmed to just outside the plate mark, subtle toning and fox marks, thin spots to some corners, annotations to verso. Provenance: Property of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard Art Museum, sold to benefit the acquisition fund.
