Pair of Wedgwood Gilt and Bronze Black Basalt Oil Lamps, England, 19th century, each oval, with fluted neck, oak leaf border and acanthus and bellflowers to lower body, one modeled with a classical maiden holding an open book, ht. 8 3/4, the other with a maiden pouring a jug, ht. 8 in.; impressed marks. The property of Jeffrey Milkins. Estimate $2,500-3,500 Each cover with ball finial reglued. Maiden reading: Repairs to chip at spout and along top of socle.
