Pair of Wedgwood Blue and White Jasper Triton Candlesticks, England, 18th century, each figure modeled kneeling among waves on a rocky base and supporting a whirling cornucopia-form candle holder, one with a fishing net draped over his shoulder, the other with a lion-like cloth, impressed marks, ht. 11 1/4 in. Literature: Illustrated in Wedgwood I by R. Reilly, plate C174. Figure w/net: candle holder, cornucopia and lower arms professionally restored. Figure w/lion cloth: restored to candle nozzle; chips to footrim.
