Pair of Small Satsuma Vases, Japan, Meiji period, oviform with waisted neck and banded rim, each decorated with figural landscapes alternating with flowers in two shaped panels between two patterned bands, unsigned, ht. 4 7/8 in. Estimate $1,800-2,500 a hairline crack to one of the rim, minor glazing flaws and wear to gilt. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
