Luther Smith Black-painted Tall Clock, Keene, New Hampshire, fret-top case with freestanding columns flanking the roman numeral painted iron dial with floral spandrels, arch reading in script "Luther Smith Keene," second's and calendar bits, tombstone-shaped door, resting on a molded bracket foot base, eight-day, time and hour strike movement, regulated by a wooden rod, pendulum bob, and two iron weights, ht. 79 in. Estimate $300-500 original painted dial with touch-ups around dial posts, lacking seconds hand, calendar hand replaced, case re-painted, case bottom rebuilt, inside door it reads "Rebuilt by Herbert Sandsbury/Nantucket MA 1981.
