Carved Oak Joined Chest, England, late 17th century, ht. 25 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 early snipe hinges were replaced with strap hinges, that are now broken and rusting. The rest of the chest exhibits splits and warping, mostly to panels and top, with losses to feet and minor loss to the left side, 25 1/2" high, 48 1/2" wide, and 19 1/4" deep.
