Carved Oak Joined Chair, England, 17th century, shaped and heavily carved splat with guilloche and diamond lozenge, pediment scrolls, and volutes, columnar arm supports and legs, paper label on underside with crest "William Edgell Wyatt," ht. 47, wd. 25 1/2, dp. 27 in. N.B. William Edgell Wyatt commanded the Royal Welch Fusiliers from 1808-1813, and died in 1820. Provenance: The Sara and Bob Hunt Collection of Early English Oak.
