Carved Mahogany Frame with New York Motifs, late 19th century, carved with busts of Liberty, Native Americans, sea monsters, floral devices, and New York symbolism, ht. 27, wd. 27 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 The frame is about 3 inches deep at its deepest. The aperture is 18 x 13 1/2, and it could fit a painting 19 x 14 1/2 or so. It is in very nice condition, with no major repairs or restoration.
