Leeds: John Waddington, ca. 1908. Imposing and handsome poster shows three scenes from Roland's illusion in which the bachelor - presumably Roland himself - produces a comely woman inside a curtained cabinet standing on short legs. But, as quickly as the lady appears, so does she disappear, as if a figment of his imagination. 39x 90". Scattered restoration throughout image, especially at extremities; B-. Uncommon.
