Turn of the 20th Century Chinese embroidered (including portions with Forbidden Stitch)coverlet descending from the estate of Albert Ruddock who served on the staff of the American Legation of Peking from 1930 to 1923. Afterwards he owned and lived at the Enniscorthy Estate of Albemarle County, VA. Coverlet measures approximately 86-3/4" x 107". Some shattering to backing, condition consistent with age and use.
