Evelyn Metzger (American, 1911-2007) oil on panel; signed to lower right and dated '95; depicting Cambodians gathering rice. An autobiographical book that accompanies the painting is "The Age of Grandeur And A Woman Who Lived It: Artist Evelyn Metzger". It is a hard bound book that covers both her social life and her artistic appreciation and contributions, examining her formal studies of art history at Vassar, her flexibility and travels, and her portraits. Artwork measures approximately 32" x 24" unframed and the book measures approximately 11-15/16" x 9-1/2"; painting in good overall condition and book in very good condition.
