Brass Posted-frame Alarm Lantern Clock and Case, movement/dial, France, late 18th century; case late 19th century, roman numeral chapter ring with hour, half-hour, and quarter-hour markings inside the chapter ring and outer minutes, inside revolving convex disc for alarm, cast brass cresting at the top and lower illegible name boss with cast surround, steel hand and bell mounted above, time and alarm train with crown wheel and verge, silk thread suspension and crown wheel alarm, all powered by a brass-cased weight, and regulated by a lead and iron bob and 7-in. pendulum, all in a bench-made case with carved cornice and glazed dial door, hinged side lites, carved waist door and molded base, ht. 91 in.
