After Auguste Moreau (French, 1834-1917). "Echo de la Montagne (Mountain Echo)", bronzed spelter, inscribed to base "Aug. Moreau" and to plaque on base with title and "per Aug. Moreau (Med. d'or)". 19th century figural sculpture depicting a classical female at full length draped in windblown fabric billowing to her backside, with right arm bent at elbow in support of a bushel of wildflowers with her left arm raised above her head and holding a torch handle, the figure to a naturalistic round base with flowers decorating a rocky formation behind her bare feet. Round seal within matrix reading "Made in France, Fabriqué en France" to verso at base above incised "FRANCE". Approximately 25.375" x 9" x 8.5"
