After Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973). "Visage de la Paix VIII", lithograph on wove paper. Lithograph represents the eighth drawing in a series of 29 that Picasso completed in December of 1950, this one on December 5th. Lithograph depicts the face of Francoise Gilot, Picasso's muse from 1944-53 and the mother of his two children Paloma and Claude, at center with wide eyes and narrow nose above defined lips, a dove overhead carrying a leaved branch which forms the crown of the subject's head. Inscribed top left "5.12.50. VIII".
