Lorrie Goulet (American, b. 1925-), "Contemplation"-1981, carved wood, signed and dated to reverse "Goulet 1981". Figural sculpture depicting a crouching woman in contemplation. Overall approximately 22.25" x 15.5" x 14.5". Note: Lorrie Goulet is a well-known American sculptress whose direct carving works are associated with divine femininity and spirituality. Her work is contained in the collections of Joseph H. Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, The Whitney Museum of American Art and the Corcoran Gallery among others.
