Lorrie Goulet (American, b. 1925-), "Draped Nude", lead relief panel, signed to lower left "GOULET". Figural relief sculpture depicting a nude female draped in ethereal flowing cloth, surmounted to polychromed wood panel. Relief sculpture overall (without wood) 14" x 5"; (with wood) 17" x 5.75". Provenance: With accompanying booklet from Sculptors Gallery/Clay Club Sculpture Center. Note: Lorrie Goulet is a well-known American sculptress whose direct carving works are associated with divine femininity and spirituality. Her work is contained in the collections of Joseph H. Hirshhorn Museum & Sculpture Garden, The Whitney Museum of American Art and the Corcoran Gallery among others.
