Henredon (American, North Carolina, 1945-), late 20th century. A pair of Natchez Collection Empire style mahogany demilune commodes, each with a shaped brown marble top, supported by four round column supports, each mounted with gilt metal ormolu banding, stylized flowers, and torches, with an upper drawer mounted with foliated ormolu, above two curved doors, each with pierced knobs, resting on a conforming ormolu mounted base with tapering block feet. Manufacturer's labels to reverse. Approximate height 34.425", width 40.325", depth 20.825". Provenance: From the private collection of Elaine Killeen, Atlanta, Georgia.
