P. T. Barnum’s Advance Courier. Hagerstown and Frederick City, Maryland, 1872. Describing the animals and their origins in his show. Together with a Barnum and Bailey program (New York, ca. 1892). Courier is 10 ½ x 14”, program 9 ¾ x 12” (folded). Fair, the courier pages out of order, significant chipping and some large tears on both pieces, program crudely repaired with tape, creases and some tears with losses to text and images on program.
