the front and back worked to show a forward facing fierce dragon grasping the flaming pearl of wisdom above a pair of dragons in profile chasing the flaming pearls, amongst ribbon-tied Buddhist emblems, flying bats and clusters of auspicious clouds, the shoulders with one sinuous dragon on each side, all against a russet ground above mountain peaks, lingzhi sprigs and peony stems emerging from foaming waves and multi-color lishui strips. Height collar to hem 39 inches. Property from the Collection of Katherine W. Grevas, Moline, Illinois Overall decent condition with no major tears. Having some loose threads and some stains and one tear to the exterior, the interior lining with wear. The original sleeves were cut and replaced by new blue silk brocade, and the cuffs are resewn right below the shoulders, five gilt bronze buttons present and intact, one closure worn but the other four in decent condition.
