MISS VAN (French, 1973) WILD AT HEART , 2013 Inkjet print on paper Signed and dated in pencil lower right "Miss Van 2013" Numbered in pencil lower left "2/60" 14 by 19 1/2 inches The original charcoal on paper drawing was included in Miss Van's solo exhibition at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, California in 2012. The inspiration for the show originated from a David Lynch quote, "This whole world's wild at heart and weird on top." As one of the most notable women in Street Art, Miss Van has been painting her muses on the street since 1993. Her women embody sensuality and explore the intimacies of femininity while masked and coifed with swollen red lips, rouged cheeks, pink nipples and bustiers that are reminiscent of 1930's French cabaret. $500-700 Categories: Miss Van
