Norman Rockwell (American, 1894-1978) Lot of Two Sketches Including: Elderly Couple Reading with Blanket on Laps and Sleeping Child in Window Seat The former initialed "NR" l. r. and inscribed "Make Warm Friends" l.c.; the latter signed "Norman Rockwell" l.r. Graphite on paper, sizes to 5 1/4 x 4 in. (13.4 x 10 cm), in a common frame. Condition: Subtle toning, minor wear and handling marks, not examined out of frame. N.B. The above sketches appear in the Norman Rockwell catalogue raisonne by Laurie Norton Moffatt as numbers M20 and M23. Each piece was done circa 1925 for blanket advertisements, however neither was ever published.
