Red Painted Turned Side Chair, New England, late 18th century, the shaped chest rail above a vasiform splat and vase and ring-turned stiles on rush seat and turned legs joined by stretchers, later red paint over earlier black, (minor imperfections), sold together with a brown painted banister-back side chair with molded banisters and old brown paint, ht. 39, seat ht. 15, and ht. 42, seat ht. 17 in. respectively.
