Five Staffordshire Pottery Mugs, England, early 19th century, including four children's mugs: one with dark green transfer print of "The Way to Wealth or Dr. Franklin's Poor Richard Illustrated," one with a green and maroon leafy medial band with black linear accents, one with black transfer design "Procession of Lady Godiva & Peeping Tom," a yellow mug with copper lustre rim, base, and handle, the interior rim banded in pink lustre; together with a creamware mug with an oval brown transfer design of a seated figure of Liberty with a British shield next to a lions head gesturing toward ships on the water, beside a scroll inscribed "An Act for the better relief of disabled Seamen" and another inscribed "Reduction of Taxes," an incomplete inscription below reading "Ye Sons of Britannia ... The freedom of your...," (imperfections), ht. 2-3 3/4 in.
