Five Transfer Decorated Staffordshire Pottery Children's Mugs, England, early 19th century, pearlware mugs including three with black transfer printed designs including one depicting "RED - DEAR" [sic], one depicting "THE COTTAGE GIRL" and "THE IDLE BOY," one showing "SIR ROBERT PEEL, BART" on horseback; two mugs with brown transfer decoration with one showing a boy, a girl, and a dog in a country landscape entitled "THE DINNER," highlighted with pink and green enamel, a mug with a transfer printed motto in an oval reserve: "The Ale is good, So pray pour out: As soon as full, Pray drink about;" (two with cracks), ht. 2 3/8-2 3/4 in.
