China Shoulder Head Doll and Photograph of Doll and Her Original Owner, with painted blue eyes, red line above, light tinting with rosy cheek coloring, three sew holes, black center part hair with short curls around head, stuffed cloth body, brown leather arms with separated fingers, white cotton undergarments, white dotted swiss dress, brown printed apron, ht. 21 in., together with two photographs, one dated 1879 and identified as Ruth G. Hunt, 3 years old, taken in Bethlehem Ct., and holding what appears to be the same doll; the other photograph is identified as E.M. Hunt, age 21; the doll also retains a blue ribbon from a 1948 Bethlehem Pennsylvania Fair. Provenance: The doll and photographs descended through the Hunt family to the current owner.
